Yes, you have a sinus infection, also known as inflammation (Sinustis). Yellow or green discharge from your nose are other symptoms that may be present related to sinus inflammation.
I strongly urge you to consult with your Doctor if you are still experiencing stuffy or runny nose, which are serious side effects of Nasonex. This may require additional antibiotics to prevent worsening of sinus inflammation and to prevent futher complications.
For both acute and chronic sinusitis, antibiotics such as amoxicillin or trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole are given, but people who have chronic sinusitis take antibiotics for a longer period of time. A second method for treatment, is to purchase you some Dust & Protective Masks from Family Dollar or Wal-Mart to wear around the house and while you sleep.
This is very effective for me and will add much needed protection from dust exposure. However, nasal corticosteroid sprays (e.g. Nasonex) and corticosteroid tablets are helpful in reducing the inflammation in the mucous membranes, but when antibiotics are not effective, surgery may be performed either to wash out the sinus and obtain material for culture or to improve sinus drainage, which allows the inflammation to resolve.
Hope this answers your question!

hi,
you are using a steroid and that predispose u to infections. It is very much likely that u r developing an infection. It looks less likely to be a bacterial infection at present though, but you could get secondarily infected with bacteria giving yellowish discharge.
Now u can think of mild infection (viral or sometimes fungal).
U can stop the spray for few days. if the problems settle well and good. If it increases or if u develop fever or anything like that , please do visit ur doctor. U may need a course of antibiotic.
Also consume healthy food and keep your immune system nourished with fresh fruits (vit c rich) and veg. Avoid cold drinks and food for few days. Use protective gear when u go out to cold conditions. Atleast till your problem is solved. Steam inhalation will be useful.
please get back to me if u have any clarifications
