I'm pregnant (just going into 2nd trimester), but don't have a doctor yet. I'm wondering if I can take Daytime Nyquil for sniffles, runny nose, headache, and just general cold? |

First of all let me stress how important it is for you to visit a doctor. A doctor must be seen from the time it is determine that you are pregnant. However it is ok to take over the counter medicine, Read the instructions on the packaging it will state whether or not the medicine should be taken during pregnancy. Also ask the pharmacist they know. Pharmacist' are very informative about medicine.

Dear friend,
You can take the OTC drugs in a doses of 1 or 2 but you should be very cautious about taking any antibiotics because they do have side effects to your baby. The common cold medicines containing paracetamol or antihistamines like cetrizine or pheniramine are usually safe in pregnancy if taken in small doses.
If still you have any doubt then you can ask me.
thank you!
